About Mary

Maery Snyder

My passion for art began in childhood, influenced by my mother. She was an artist who created pieces for prominent department stores in New York City like Sears, Macy’s, and Bloomingdale’s, among others. Most of her creations were for the fashion sector, utilized for displays and advertising. I quickly found myself sketching and painting constantly. Later on, I met John, now my spouse, who introduced me to photography. I eagerly learned how to operate various cameras and lenses and soon began developing my own film and producing prints in our darkroom. I enhanced my skills by studying at The New York Institute of Photography. My artistic pursuits had to take a back seat as I became heavily occupied with raising a family. After our daughter became independent, we relocated to the Florida Gulf Coast, where I resumed actively engaging with my passion for art. Ultimately, following numerous recommendations from those who own my artwork, I have made it available for viewing and purchase through this website. Thank you for stopping by, and any inquiries or feedback you might have can be sent to me via the contact page.
